TYGA Gives Back to the Youth in Pittsburgh

One of the perks of working with a star like Tyga is being able to help him not only realize his dreams but to inspire other to achieve theirs.

It was awesome to take advantage of his tour stop in Pittsburgh to connect him with high school students in the area where he encouraged them to focus on their education.

We even brought some of our other folks like Weslye Saunders from the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Check out the video below so see the impact Tyga had on these amazing students in Pittsburgh!

#MoneyMonday – Put Your #YoungMoney Where Your Mouth Is

[youtube=http://youtu.be/T2qcWcr6Xdg]

Some people talk a lot about giving back, others just put their money where their mouth is and do it.

Young Money recording artist, and great client of mine, TYGA, put together the TYGA R.O.A.R. (Reach Out And Represent) Initiative as a way for him to give back to the communities in the cities that he is visiting while performing on the Chris Brown F.A.M.E. Tour.

As part of the R.O.A.R. campaign, select students that were recommended by their teachers were honored with a photo op and certificate of Achievement signed by TYGA, tickets to the FAME Tour Concert, and a voucher for 35 FREE college applications!

Check out this video, courtesy of Hip Hop On Lock and directed by Emmai Alaquiva, documenting TYGA and his visit to Pittsburgh.

Are YOU putting your money where your mouth is?

Money. Power. Respect. Join me on July 19th!

Some financial “experts” out there really crack me up. Their idea of helping you get your financial house in order is to tell you to cut down on your Frappuccino addiction. While I’ll be the first to admit that many of us could use a little debit card discipline, you can only cut your budget so much before you’re back to eating ramen noodles again…and no one wants that for you. Your income, however, has no ceiling. the sky is the limit. Consider this your opportunity to start to master that side of the equation..

For those of you in Pittsburgh, please join me for a discussion on Money. Power. Respect. – Taking Control of Your Financial Life on Tuesday July 19th at 6 p.m. at the Wine Loft in the Southside Works. In conjunction with the Urban League Young Professionals, this discussion will focus on:

Money – What is it, what it isn’t and how to make more of it

Power – How important your vote is, and how it affects your wallet

Respect – How setting and actually following up on your goals will help you get the life you desire

In addition, I want to hear from you! Send me a tweet @robwilsontv with your financial question and I’ll answer it at the event. If you prefer to remain anonymous, leave a comment below.

This will be a very entertaining and educational discussion that will inspire you to get that great idea out of your head and start making it a reality. Don’t worry, your latte is safe…for now.
